Activities during AiR
Basic research around Center, made mixed media works using materials found around the area , mini workshop and tea party with local people.

I am interested in the places where people come together with a common purpose and cooperate with each other in the community. I am creating artworks that resonate with the intersection of the memories inscribed in the places and the individual memories of each viewers who visit the places.

In May 2021, I started operating Art Center Derahajiri in Fujiidera city, Osaka prefecture, in addition to creating artworks. I am actively introducing artists to the Hajinosato area community, providing networking opportunities and collaboration with local people.

共通の目的や地域などによって結びついた人々が集まる場に関心がある。そうした場に刻まれた記憶と、訪れる鑑賞者それぞれが持つ個々の記憶が交差し共鳴する作品を展開している。

また、2021年5月から制作の傍ら、大阪府藤井寺市にてアートセンター デラハジリの運営を開始。土師ノ里エリアコミュニティに積極的にアーティストを紹介し、ネットワークづくりや、地域の人々と協働できる機会を提供している。

Catherine Ostraya is an artist based in The Hague, Netherlands. Her upbringing spanned across many places, but she was born In Moscow, Russia. Currently her work addresses the themes of dissemination and passing which is embodied in her work with mycelium. Much of her work ranges between performance and video, where she uses herself as a catalyst for explorations in time perception, memory and identity. She believes that the most important role of the artist is to be receptive to the less visible undercurrents of life, which she attempts to tap into using curiosity and honesty as her compass.

オランダのハーグを拠点に活動するアーティスト。彼女の生い立ちは様々な場所にまたがっているが、生まれはロシアのモスクワ。彼女の作品は、菌糸を使った作品に象徴されるように、拡散と伝達をテーマにしている。彼女の作品の多くは、パフォーマンスとビデオの中間に位置し、時間、記憶、アイデンティティの探求の触媒として自分自身を用いている。アーティストの最も重要な役割は、目に見えない人生の底流を受容することであると信じており、好奇心と素直さを制作の指針としている。

Jonas Raps (1992) graduated from the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague (NL) in 2015. After a period of making large scale canvases and wall paintings, his practice has increasingly focused on social engagment. His projects include creating a giant snail sculpture at a local refugee centre that displays paintings by resident children on its shell, and leading a collaborative artwork together with residents of a grey apartment building to decorate their entrance hall. Currently he is co-hosting a series of creative team-building workshops, challenging groups of elderly people in various retirement homes to explore their creativity.

1992年生まれ、2015年にハーグ王立芸術アカデミー（オランダ）を卒業。大規模なキャンバスや壁画を制作した後、社会との関わりを重視するようになる。彼のプロジェクトには、地元の難民センターに巨大なカタツムリの彫刻を制作し、その殻に住民の子どもたちが描いた絵を展示するものや、アパートの住民と一緒にエントランスホールを飾る共同作品を制作するものなど。現在は老人ホームの高齢者グループとクリエイティブなチームビルディングを探求するワークショップを共同主催している。

Daniel Kowald / ダニエル・コワルド

Sound artist, composer, and diy electronic instrument maker based in Adelaide, Australia. His main focus centres around close human connection, and reframing non-human audio sources as having musical intention. His diy instruments vary widely in construction and purpose, oftentimes utilising biometric and ecological data to allow for sources outside of his control to contribute to the sound, or working with multi-person monophonic designs.

オーストラリアのアデレードを拠点に活動するサウンド・アーティスト、作曲家、電子楽器製作者。彼の主な関心は、人間同士の密接なつながりと、非人工的な音源に音楽的な意図を持たせることである。彼のDIY楽器は、その構造も目的もさまざまで、しばしば生体情報や生態学的データを利用して、彼がコントロールしない音を活かしたり、複数人用のモノフォニック・デザインに取り組んだりしている。

Claire Mosley is a watercolour artist, natural dyer and environmental educator based on Wurundjeri Country in Naarm (Melbourne, Australia).
Her practice started while living on Gunai/Kurnai Country as an outdoor educator. She began painting her surroundings as a way to learn about where she was, including the flora and fauna, skies and waterways.

Time outdoors has been shaping her teaching and artmaking practices ever since. You’ll find her on foot or by bike with her journals, pens, pastels and paints all across urban Naarm, Victoria and beyond. Her freehand watercolour works reflect back the beauty and aliveness of nature and encourage people of all ages to open their senses and connect with the ecosystems and communities around them.

Claire has a Bachelor of Visual Arts and Teaching from Monash University. As well as adorning her products, Claire also produces watercolour commissions for individuals, community organisations and events.

オーストラリアの水彩画家／染色家／環境教育者で、先住民アボリジニーのウルンジェリ族の居住区域を拠点とする。彼女の活動は野外教育者としてグナイ／クルナイに住んでいたときに始まった。動植物、空、水路など、自分がいる場所を知るための方法として、周囲の環境を描き始めた。
以来、野外での時間が彼女の教育や作品制作の実践を形作ってきた。日記、ペン、パステル、絵の具を携えて、徒歩や自転車でビクトリア州ナーム市やその近郊を旅している。彼女のフリーハンドの水彩画作品は、自然の美しさと生命力を映し出し、あらゆる年齢層の人々に、自分の感覚を開き、周囲の生態系やコミュニティとつながることを促している。
クレアはモナシュ大学でビジュアル・アートと教職の学士号を取得しており、製作物を飾るだけではなく、個人、コミュニティ組織、イベントなどのために水彩画の依頼も受けている。

He is a sound artist and composer based in Vienna, Austria. Sound is the main focus of Nahold’s work, whether as part of audio-visual installations, multi-channel compositions or the standard stereo album format. He has composed scores for film, theater, dance and performances, working with artists such as God’s Entertainment, Daniela Georgieva, Akemi Takeya, Lara Ostan, Maximilian Schwidlinski, Yein Lee, Simon Mayer, Anna Bergmann, Peter Kutin and Antoinette Zwirchmayr. Digital alienation, nostalgia, sonic hybrids and spatial acoustic environments are recurring themes in his work, exploring constant reconfigurations of existing aesthetics in often oxymoronic couplings.

ウィーンを拠点とするサウンドアーティスト／作曲家。ナホルトの作品は、オーディオビジュアル・インスタレーション、マルチチャンネルでの作曲、アルバムのリリース、あらゆる形態で音に焦点を当てている。映画、演劇、ダンス、パフォーマンスのためのスコアを作曲し、多くのアーティストとも協働。
デジタル化されたものへの異和感、懐かしさ、音響の混成、空間的な音響環境は彼の作品に繰り返し登場するテーマであり、その矛盾した組み合わせで既存の美学を再構成することを絶えず探求している。

Sound Artist, Accordion, Accordina and multi-percussion player, Songwriter. He won the 3rd Prize at 2nd JILA Percussion competition, the Espoir Prize at the 21st OSAKA international music competition with the accordion, joined Asian youth orchestra.

In addition to performing acoustic music such as folk music and gypsy jazz based on classical music interpretations, his activities span a wide range of activities, including performances centered on digital equipment.

東京在住のサウンドアーティスト、アコーディオン・アコーディナ・打楽器奏者、ソングライター。京都大学文学部卒業。第21回大阪国際音楽コンクール民族楽器部門にてアコーディナでエスポアール賞受賞のほか、第2回JILA打楽器コンクール3位入賞、Asian Youth Orchestra参加。その他、hoshioto2022や静岡大道芸フェスティバル2023など様々なフェスに参加。
クラシック音楽的な解釈と打楽器的なグルーブを土台に、民族音楽やジプシージャズなどアコースティックな演奏のほか、デジタル機器や環境音、サンプリング音などを駆使した表現も精力的に行っている。
