Centerにて滞在制作予定で、自然をモチーフに水彩画などを描くアーティスト＝クレアさんと一緒に、前日光エリアを楽しむミニハイキングツアーを実施します。
標高約1300mのさわやかな高原の空気を吸いながら、前日光牧場で牛を眺め、高山植物の宝庫の井戸湿原を散策、その後は歴史ある古峰神社に立ち寄り、つつじの湯（温泉）で〆る、超々大満足コースとなります。
寄り道あり、通訳あり、Centerの子供も参加しますので、小さなお子様連れも大歓迎。前後泊で宿泊料金が10％割引となります！！
※Centerでは2025年から、アーティストが長期滞在して作品を制作/公開するプログラム（Center AiR）を実施しています

滞在制作アーティスト
クレア・モズレー / Claire Mosley
オーストラリアの水彩画家／染色家／環境教育者で、先住民アボリジニーのウルンジェリ族の居住区域を拠点とする。彼女の活動は野外教育者としてグナイ／クルナイに住んでいたときに始まった。動植物、空、水路など、自分がいる場所を知るための方法として、周囲の環境を描き始めた。
以来、野外での時間が彼女の教育や作品制作の実践を形作ってきた。日記、ペン、パステル、絵の具を携えて、徒歩や自転車でビクトリア州ナーム市やその近郊を旅している。彼女のフリーハンドの水彩画作品は、自然の美しさと生命力を映し出し、あらゆる年齢層の人々に、自分の感覚を開き、周囲の生態系やコミュニティとつながることを促している。
クレアはモナシュ大学でビジュアル・アートと教職の学士号を取得しており、製作物を飾るだけではなく、個人、コミュニティ組織、イベントなどのために水彩画の依頼も受けている。
We will be holding a mini hiking tour to enjoy the Mae-Nikko area with Claire, an artist who will be staying here from September. While breathing in the refreshing air of the highlands, we will explore the Marsh(wetland), a treasure trove of alpine plants, then visit the historic Shrine, and finally enjoy the hot springs. Children from the Center will also be participating, so families with small children are welcome.
Meeting time: 9:00 a.m. at Center
End time: 3:00 p.m. at Tsutsuji-no-yu hot spring

The first two people can ride in the Center’s car.

There are few elevation changes and many well-maintained roads. The walk takes less than two hours at a leisurely pace.
Claire Mosley
is a watercolour artist, natural dyer and environmental educator based on Wurundjeri Country in Naarm (Melbourne, Australia).
Her practice started while living on Gunai/Kurnai Country as an outdoor educator. She began painting her surroundings as a way to learn about where she was, including the flora and fauna, skies and waterways.
Time outdoors has been shaping her teaching and artmaking practices ever since. You’ll find her on foot or by bike with her journals, pens, pastels and paints all across urban Naarm, Victoria and beyond. Her freehand watercolour works reflect back the beauty and aliveness of nature and encourage people of all ages to open their senses and connect with the ecosystems and communities around them.
Claire has a Bachelor of Visual Arts and Teaching from Monash University. As well as adorning her products, Claire also produces watercolour commissions for individuals, community organisations and events.
